LAUGHING CLOWNS - EXTRA MELBOURNE SHOW
Already appearing alongside the Dirty Three as part of January's Don't Look Back concert series, Feel Presents are now proud to announce a Melbourne headline show for Australian post-punk giants Laughing Clowns on Friday 22nd January at the East Brunswick Club.
The Laughing Clowns (singer guitarist Ed Kuepper, drummer Jeffrey Wegener, saxophonist Louise Elliott, bassist Biff Millar and keyboard player Alister Spence) reunited in January following a 25 year absence, and at the behest of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, to perform at the All Tomorrow’s Parties Festivals on Sydney’s Cockatoo Island and Mt.Buller Ski-Resort.
... the reformed Laughing Clowns turn in an enrapturing performance of their jazz-affected post-punk and conclude with the towering saxophone melody and festival highlight of Eternally Yours. - LAST -FM review of ATP, Mt.Buller
Unlike the Don't Look Back appearance however, the Laughing Clowns will not be limited to the songs performed on any particular release and will instead consider material from right across their former existence and the years 1979 - 1984. Expect the unexpected but expect it to be great!Tickets are on sale Wednesday 23rd December from www.feelpresents.com, the East Brunswick Club box office - 280 Lygon St or phone 9388 9794
